An incredible journey: Skype-a-Thon participants travel the world for life-changing learning

When we connect classrooms, we can change the world. And thanks to last week’s Global Education Skype-a-Thon, teachers and students from over 75 countries were empowered to do just that, traveling nearly 10 million miles (for perspective, that’s enough to circle the earth 394 times!) to celebrate global learning and diversity.

Young Scottish students’ countrywide collaboration fuels learning and leadership

Through Scotland’s nationwide educational web service Glow, students begin their schooling already connected. Using this portal, more than 16,000 Scottish students and their teachers can draw on resources like Office 365 Education to work together and learn from each other using Yammer and other free Office 365 tools.

When teacher Natalie Burgess began using the tools early in 2015, her Primary 3 students were only six and seven years old, but she had big plans for them. Coming Soon: Microsoft and edX partner to offer new professional learning courses for school leaders

As school leaders look to transform and modernize education, access to professional learning experiences is crucial. In order to support school leaders around the world, we are working closely with edX to create new professional learning courses for school leaders to support their leadership in education transformation.
