Last year students and educators all over the world travelled millions of virtual miles together, as they connected via Skype to other classrooms, and more about their languages, cultures, weather, geography, and so much more. There is still time for your school to join in this fantastic event, and some extra special unique elements for UK participants to explore…

MEC Monday: Skype in the Classroom Professional Development Webinar

This month sees the return of the global #Skypeathon, taking place between on November 29th and 30th, connecting classrooms and students from all over the world as together they travel millions of virtual miles to take part in Skype Lessons, Mystery Skype, Virtual Field Trips, and to hear from guest speakers.

Mark WoodIn 2013 explorer Mark Wood attempted a 72 day expedition to ascend Mount Everest. The remarkable part of this journey was that he connected to over 10,000 school children worldwide using mobile technology from the extremes of the mountain and in real time, making Everest one of the most incredible and inspiring classrooms in the world.
