So as the final announcements ring out over the public address system, the shutters come down at the ExCel, and the weary legs and feet of exhibitors and visitors alike carry us all home, BETT 2017 draws to a hugely successful close. We hope you’ve enjoyed coming to our stands and seeing all of our connected speakers across the show floor, but most importantly we hope that you leave BETT 2017 with some inspiration and confidence for new classroom ideas and digital transformation in your place of learning.
Three down, one to go… Hang in there! But what an exhibition it has been so far! It was another busy day on the Microsoft Stand and adjoining Partner Campus, with many other engaging activities dotted around the whole exhibition floor.
Earlier this morning Jonathan Bishop – head teacher of Microsoft Showcase School Broadclyst Community Primary, and founder of the Global Enterprise Challenge – delivered a Future Gazing session in the School Leaders Summit around Developing a Digital Academy.
Phew…! Still with us?! Another action-packed day at BETT 2017 draws to a close, and as attendees and exhibitors start to make their ways home, there is much to reflect on and ponder.
Yesterday our BETT 2017 Day One recap looked at some of the talks and sessions happening further afield across the BETT exhibition floor, so for this evening’s edition we’ll focus on some of the Learn Live Theatre sessions being delivered by educators and school leaders on the Microsoft stand and some of the activity from the Microsoft Partner Campus.
As the legs begin to show signs of fatigue, you’ve lost count of the number of coffees you’ve drunk, and the constant background noise quietens to the point where you can almost make out individual voices, there is no escaping the fact that BETT 2017 is here, it’s happening, and it’s bigger and better than ever!
It’s been a busy day on all fronts for the Microsoft team, and across all corners of the exhibition floor there has been something for everyone!… Visit the author's original post

I’ve been going to the BETT show as a Headteacher for 7 years now. Each year there’s been a different focus and reason to go, as well as different themes that seem to run across the show as the technology and research develops. I wrote before this year’s show about the lure of the ‘shiny things’ on offer there and my aim to look for the learning beyond the technology.
To start with (about 2008 for me) it was very much about learning platforms and websites; then mobile devices took hold and we all went looking at iPads or alternatives and apps and storage solutions etc. … Visit the author's original post
